By Garmi is a small Copenhagen-based studio, specializing in graphics and product design. By Garmi aims to create beautiful, aesthetic and sustainable illustrations and do not advocate a particular style, but try to incorporate several different visual expressions and universes.
By Garmi’s journey started all of sudden without much consideration. Lars and Nikita, the people behind By Garmi, were going through old sketchbooks and found some old work and sketches: “We hung them up in the living room and several of our friends showed interest in them and asked if we were selling them“. Soon after, Lars and Nikita made a small collection available for sale on different social media platforms and as they say “They soon began to generate a lot of interest from other parts of the world and we slowly started building a client list”.

Jennilee Marigomen is a Vancouver-based photographer whose work captures the quiet beauty found in everyday moments. Rooted in a deep sensitivity to light, colour and atmosphere, her images explore themes of stillness, chance encounters and the unexpected poetry of ordinary spaces.
“I am drawn to slowness and serendipity – looking deeper at banal objects and finding something interesting about them. Finding things in places they should not be and wondering about the story why.”
Her approach is both intuitive and contemplative. Whether working on a commercial project or shooting independently, she is always in search of something that evokes introspection – a fleeting sense of calm or a moment so surreal it feels overwhelming in its beauty. Her process is fluid, guided by instinct and a deep attunement to colour and luminance.

Artist Ibi Meier-Oruitemeka’s work resonates with a striking sense of intimacy and human connection. Born in the UK with roots in Nigeria, Ibi left the bustling energy of London behind to settle in Hastings, a seaside town on England’s south coast. Here she resides with her partner and two children, enjoying the slower pace of life a rhythm she first embraced while living in Sweden.
Before venturing into painting, Ibi spent eight years running an organic hair and skincare business, a path that instilled her with a sensitivity to process and care. Her artistic focus now centres on figures, often capturing quiet, reflective moments or shared experiences between friends and family. “I’m fascinated by human connection and the communities we create, as well as the need for solitude,” she shares.

Bloeme van Bon and Geran Knol, originally from the Netherlands and currently living in Antwerp, Belgium, form the duo known as Park Pardon. Both hail from small villages in the Frisian countryside, merely a few kilometres apart. Despite their close geographical origins, their paths did not cross until they met at an art school in Zwolle. During their four-year studies in illustration, they forged a strong friendship and discovered a shared passion for aesthetics and a mutual interest in “naive art and outsider art,” which led to frequent collaborations. In 2012, they graduated together as Park Pardon and the rest, as the saying goes, is history. In addition to their joint work, both Bloeme and Geran maintain individual practices, which they consider equally important as these offer alternative sources of inspiration for their collaborative projects.
Initially, they focused on creating stories and self-publishing them in zine format. They also translated their drawings into sculptures using various techniques, including papier-mâché. Their graduation showcased life-sized papier-mâché characters inspired by their drawings, marking the inception of their long-term project, Schijngelaten, in 2019.
Since the launch of Schijngelaten, they have devoted most of their time to creating masks, aiming to bridge the gap between fine art and design. Their work has led to numerous collaborations, allowing them to explore different contexts and approaches to their mask-making. Despite having crafted around 1,500 masks, they continue to discover new variations and techniques.

The inspiration for the work by Danish artist and designer Lise Uhrskov is right outside her doorstep. Living in the historic Latin Quarter in central Copenhagen, Lise is always surrounded by colourful buildings and creative people. “There is a nice relaxed atmosphere and people know each other,” she tells. “There are a lot of vintage stores, and people mix styles. I love when people wear a stylish suit but with bold shoes or a big hat that does not fit with the rest of the outfit.”
It is these people as well as bold colours that are the main theme in Lise’s motifs. The colours are influenced by pop art and she enjoys mixing together patterns and strong personalities: “I like to create happy, quirky and a little flamboyant people and characters,” she says. She works with larger areas of colours and simplified forms to really let the colours be in focus. “I use colours to play with depth, perspective, and visual illusions to create a sense of movement and dimension.”
Her most recent work is a series that seeks to portray the relationships between people and how we interact with each other. She explains that she is fascinated by the human experience and how different personalities can come together.

She prefers to use gouache on raw canvas when she paints, but lately, she has also dabbled with tufting and working with other textiles where she uses natural materials such as wool, cotton and linen. “I am a material nerd and love how fabrics are moving and falling,” she says and continues: “Besides architectural functionalism, I am also inspired by the Scandinavian textile movements around the 60s. Combining soft colours and intuitive motifs, the Swedish artist Sofia Lind has created a universe of charming characters.
From her studio in Stockholm, Sofia works mainly on paper with gouache and watercolour. Living in Córdoba, Argentina, the artist Lucrecia Rey Caro is never far from either the bustling city life or the calmness of the mountains. Especially the mountains are a space of escapism, that Lucrecia seeks during the weekends to enjoy the fresh air and the quiet: “I find a lot of peace during the weekend. I have my daily rituals, music, meditation, loneliness, and nature. They are great allies when it comes to creating.”
It runs as a connecting thread throughout Lucrecia’s work, that her inspiration is sensory. From motifs, colours, and materials, her choices are based on sensations: “I don’t like to think of the artworks in advance, they just happen. In that sense, my artwork says a lot about me, but also about the moment it was created.”
Her continued curiosity has led to her working with traditional paper and canvas, but also sculptures, ceramics, engravings, and woodwork.

“I love finding art and botanic books secondhand. My most recent find is a real gem; a photo book from the mid-nineties, featuring the most wonderful bouquets from the Karen Blixen museum north of Copenhagen.”
Flipping through books is a large part of Anine’s artistic process, which is then proceeded by experimenting with colour combinations and light sketching. And it is often the flowers that take center stage when she paints. She explains: “Flowers keep fascinating me because of their ever-changing variations in colours, shapes, and expressiveness — and they always bring joy.”

Stine Belden Røed’s artistic practice is rooted in drawing – layered, imperfect and deeply intuitive. Originally from Stavanger, Norway, but now based in Bergen, she works from a small studio overlooking her garden and the surrounding valley. In this peaceful space, she refines her playful yet intricate compositions. Since graduating from Bergen National Academy of Art and Design in 2007, she has worked as an illustrator and graphic designer, creating book covers, concert posters and editorial illustrations. Alongside her commissioned work, she continues to develop personal projects that allow her to explore new materials and challenge her approach to drawing. “Lately, I’ve been focusing on using different pens,” she explains. “I like that you just get one chance and have not to overthink so much, which makes me a bit more free.”

Founded by Swedish artist and designer Josefin Holmgren, Nord Projects explores the intersection of form, texture and emotion. Originally from northern Sweden and now based on an island outside Gothenburg, she works across painting, digital art and sculpture. Her compositions distil the human body into refined, geometric structures – abstract yet deeply physical. Josefin’s minimal aesthetic reflects her background in design, while her handcrafted Wall Objects translate the same visual language into three-dimensional reliefs that respond to light and shadow.
“I create because I don’t know how not to,” she says, a reflection of how naturally her process unfolds. Based in her home studio overlooking the ocean, Holmgren describes the closeness to nature as something that makes her feel “rooted and calm.” Whether working traditionally or digitally, she alternates between two approaches: “Sometimes my eyes will catch a shape that I like and I’ll start experimenting with different brushes and techniques to get the expression I’m looking for. Other times I know from the beginning what type of feeling and style I want to express.”

Lucia Tuffley is an Australian artist who bridges philosophy, poetry and visual storytelling. Based on the Sunshine Coast, she explores the emotional weight of materiality through expressive compositions that merge colour, form and meaning. Her practice is deeply intuitive – drawing from philosophy, emotional experience and a fascination with the spaces we inhabit. “Ideas and materials shape each other – sometimes I experiment until a form appears, other times I start with an idea and find what brings it to life,” Lucia says of her creative process. This instinctive approach leads to compositions rich with symbolism, where colour, form and texture carry emotional weight. One of Lucia’s recurring figures is Sam, an enigmatic character with a wide-brimmed hat who reappears across her works. Alongside Sam, motifs of tulips, birds, fish and empty corners create an abstract visual language – suggestions of movement, memory and introspection.
